RazorSQL 11.0.3 Overview

RazorSQL is a database management and query tool built for developers, database administrators, and analysts who work with relational and NoSQL databases. It supports over 40 databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB, and Cassandra through JDBC and native connectivity. The software combines a SQL editor, database browser, table editor, import/export utilities, and visual query builder into a single application.

The tool runs natively on Windows, Linux, and macOS without requiring Java to be installed separately since it bundles its own Java runtime. Users can connect to local databases or remote servers through SSH tunneling, SSL, and HTTP tunneling for secure access. RazorSQL handles database creation, table design, index management, stored procedure editing, and backup operations across different database engines with a consistent interface.

Version 11.0.3 includes updated database drivers, improved SQL formatting, and enhanced performance when browsing large result sets. The application stores connection profiles, saved queries, and preferences locally for quick access to frequently used databases and scripts.

Main Features

  • Database browser with tree view for tables, views, procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes across all connected databases
  • SQL editor with syntax highlighting, auto-completion, code folding, and multi-tab support for writing and executing queries
  • Visual table editor for creating and modifying table structures, adding columns, defining constraints, and managing foreign keys
  • Import tools for CSV, delimited files, Excel spreadsheets, and fixed-width format data with column mapping and data type detection
  • Export functionality to Excel, HTML, XML, JSON, SQL insert statements, and text files with customizable formatting options
  • Built-in database comparison tool to identify schema differences between databases and generate synchronization scripts
  • Query builder interface for constructing SELECT statements visually by choosing tables, columns, joins, and filter conditions
  • SSH and SSL tunneling support for connecting to remote databases through secure encrypted channels

Installation and Basic Usage

Download the installer for your operating system using the download button on this page. The setup wizard installs the application files and creates desktop and start menu shortcuts automatically.

Launch RazorSQL after installation completes. Click the Connections menu and select Add Connection Profile to configure your first database connection. Choose your database type from the list, enter the hostname, port, database name, username, and password. Click Test Connection to verify the credentials work, then click Save to store the profile. Double-click the saved connection in the sidebar to establish a connection and view the database structure in the browser panel.

Create a new SQL editor tab by clicking File then New SQL Editor or pressing Ctrl+N on Windows and Linux or Cmd+N on macOS. Type your SQL query in the editor window and press F5 or click the Execute SQL button to run it. Results appear in the lower panel with options to export data or edit records directly in the grid. Right-click any table in the database browser to access quick actions like browsing data, editing structure, or generating SQL scripts for the selected object.
